Don't Poke the Bear!

Good Morning Everyone! There is an interesting little story out of Florida hitting the news feeds. Seems a 89 year old man managed to get himself killed and eaten along with his dog by a Black Bear.

The man lived in Jerome,FL and unincorporated rural part of Collier Co. in southern Florida. Black bears are quite common in FL. For the most part they are not that big (this one was 260lbs) and are not that aggressive. I run across them every now and then. Usually making some loud noise like banging pots together is sufficient to run them off. If you live in an area where they are it is wise to keep your trash secure as they will come rummaging looking for a free meal.

It is not known what let up to the altercation. The granddaughter observed the bear killing the man's dog outside the home and called the police for assistance. By the time they arrived the dog was dead and the man missing. His was found dragged off a 100 yards or so and looks like the bear used him as a Scoobie Snack.

Park Rangers eventually tracked down and killed the offending bear killing it. Human remains were found still in it.


That's it just an interesting little story I came across. I will leave you off with a funny video I found yesterday of a black bear ringing a doorbell.

Happy Birthday Mr. President!

  Good Morning Everyone! There is a lot going on this weekend I will try to hit some of the highlights here for you. First and foremost I would like to wish a Very Happy Birthday to President Donald J. Trump! Undoubtedly the BEST president that this country has seen since President Reagan. I shutter to think how bad things would be under a Cackling Kamala Presidency and a continuation of the anti-American policies from the insane Left. We truly dodged a bullet.
