Remembering Those Who Gave All

  Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori.

Good Morning Everyone! Today in America is Memorial Day. It is a National Holiday and a day to honor those who have fought and died for our country and the freedoms it enshrines. We celebrate this holiday on the last Monday of May with memorial services, parades, fireworks, and the placing on flowers and flags graveside of our honored fallen.

The largest events will be held in our national capitol Washington D.C. At 10am CDT there will be traditional ceremony of placing of the wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier at Arlington National Cemetery by the President of the United States.

You can watch the ceremony and The Presidents Speech live on the video below:

The largest parade in the country will be held at our capitol city Washington, DC. Start time is 11:30am CDT You can watch it live on the video link below:

The fields are now quiet,
The thunder long gone;
The graves with their shadows
Stretch on and on.

The battle once here
Lives but in the past,
Of a war meant to be
Of all wars the last.

The flags and the trumpets,
The glory and fear,
Led men to battle;
Led but to here.
