A Funeral Dirge for The 421st

Good Morning Everyone!!!

As you may or may not know Stan and The 421st has gone off the air last night. Much speculation and rumors have been swirling around but much is not known.

What we know so far:
  • The 421st Blog hosted by Blogger has been deleted.
  • The Disqus Account for the Blog has been deleted.
  • Stan's Personal Disqus Account has been deleted.
Disqus and Blogger are two separate entities. The deletion of one does not automatically cause the deletion of others. There are numerous Disqus accounts that are still active where the original blog attached to them no longer exists. The same goes the other way around as there are Blogs out there that have had their Disqus accounts deleted but are still active using a different commenting platform.

It is odd that all 3 accounts went down at the same time. I have not heard of Disqus & Blogger doing a coordinated take down. It is possible one of the services nuked Stan's account and he self deleted the other but I find it out of character for Stan. I also don't see Stan just Nuking everything though it is a possibility. In the past when he took a break he just walked away and left everything up.

A sock has stopped by claiming that Disqus nuked Stan because he is the notorious "huggy". I have seen this accusation made before and found it "interesting" as it was made by someone who has been on Disqus as long as Stan and I have been on the platform and someone that I have found both reliable and one who has direct contacts with Disqus management. I do not know if the sock is the same person or someone that came across the accusation as I did. I can give no opinion to the veracity of the claim as it is based on information that I do not have. It still would not explain the Blog being deleted on Blogger I am sure they could care less about huggy.

We live in interesting time indeed.

I Love You Guys!

  Good Evening Everyone!!! Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I have been hopping between two large projects and have had very little free time. I have basically been living out of my truck and a suitcase for the past few weeks. As the old saying goes "I'll get enough sleep when I am dead" I do stop in every now and then even if I don't comment. You guys crack me up! I don't think I laugh any harder than I do when reading the comments here. At least here, unlike Stan's sewer you haven't forgot how to have fun. It is really sad over there. Remembering Those Who Gave All

It is a National Holiday and a day to honor those who have fought and died for our country and the freedoms it enshrines. We celebrate this holiday on the last Monday of May with memorial services, parades, fireworks, and the placing on flowers and flags graveside of our honored fallen.
