Fool Me Once ...

Good Morning Everyone!

A few days ago I wrote about a silly and poorly produced "competition" involving sperm racing out in California: Day at the Races. It turned out the entire thing was a hoax. Not the poorly designed and implemented "event" but the actual race itself. Nothing but AI generated balderdash and hogwash! I hope our AI overloards are getting a good chuckle out of this.

It seems that this little AI generated stunt may have some real consequences. Money was involved. Not huge but not insignificant either. The Polymarket online betting site that I followed for the previous article had over $300k being wagered. That's real people's money and it has been my not so trivial experience that people who gamble don't like losing money on a good day much less when they find out they have been cheated.

This is a developing story. There is not much about it on the Interwebs right now. A good reminder for those who didn't know any better: Don't trust your money with teenage boys no matter how smart you think they are.
