Not The 421st

  Today I though I would start off on a lighter and a more romantic note. Americas most well known Libertarian (you would think it would be Ayn Rand ,Lew Rockwell, Ludwig von Mises, or Ron Paul but sadly not)  has found true love and has gotten himself married! For those who might not know our guest of hounor is none other than Joe Exotic of Tiger King fame! Poor Joe is currently the guest of the Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas serving a 22 year prison sentence but not is all lost! Joe (62) has meet and married fellow inmate (aren't these magnificent times) Jorge Marquez (33). They do make a cute couple! I do wish them the very best and can only hope my fellow Libertarians can find the same happiness!

  Good Morning Everyone!  Weirdness is everywhere and the friendly skies are not immune. Lets take a look up and see what's going wrong in the great blue yonder! -- A Southwest Airlines flight landing at Midway Airport had a female passenger strip naked, run around the cabin yelling, tried to enter the cockpit, and finally shit on a passenger seat. -- On an American Airlines flight from JFK to Milan a male passenger upset because he couldn't get the meal he wanted runs down the isles and charges the cockpit door causing the flight to turn around and return to New York. -- Last month another Southwest flight taxing for takeoff in Houston had a passenger strip naked and dance around requiring the plane to return to the gate. -- Air India flight as it was landing in Bangkok had a drunk passenger urinate on another passenger even though the bathrooms were working. Reading though my news feeds was quite depressing this morning but that is what the hockers of toilet paper and tampons do, spread doom and gloom with a healthy dose of fearmongering to get the views to appease their advertisers. Today, for our friends to the North, it is one of the most important day they have had in a long time. It is a day they head to the polls and decide the future course of their Nation. They have a choice between two different paths: freedom or increased servitude. One candidate who promises to continue the  previous Liberal administration policies of going down the WEF path of 15 min cities, increased taxes, restricted freedoms, increased corruption and continued replacement by foreigners or a candidate of the Conservative party who calls for a halt to the madness and a return to a level of sanity and prosperity for your Nation.     There are days I find myself rooting for the AI in the upcoming Robot Wars. This morning is one such day. My umbrage to mankind's very existence comes from The Messed Coast California ( The Tequila hangover does not help) They had a much hyped "event" last night (and the hype was the best part of it). In all it's glory our Messed Coast has given the World "Sperm Racing". I read the hype, went to the betting markets, watched the video and after I got done I threw my phone across the room. It was so bad it gave me a physical and emotional reaction. Time wasted that I will never get back. I will give you a short run down so you don't have to waste yours. So basically what you have is some college geeks built a little microscopic racetrack took the sperm from two "contestants" and turned them loose under a microscopic camera projected on a screen for everyone to watch.   Every day the news just gets sillier and sillier. If you ask me our AI overlords are trolling us. Today's silliness comes from 'ol John Bull himself.  It seems the English has decided to blot out the Sun! They are going to spend the tax payers hard earned money on research to make clouds more reflective so less sunlight reaches the Earth.  Now we all know that Merry 'ol England is awash in sunshine.   Over the past couple of days I have been getting stories about Alligators acting weird and not the "little old lady get's toy poodle snatched by gator" stories. So I decided to take a look to see what is going on ... The America Alligator (Alligator mississippiensis) <-- [creative naming science guys] is a large reptile beastie that can grown up to 20ft and over 1,000lb. They look like something that belong in a Godzilla movie and not swimming in 2025 waterways.  Their home is in the American SouthEast mostly in the Gulf States from Texas to Florida and then up the Atlantic coast to North Carolina. It has been a longstanding urban myth about alligators living in the sewer system of major cities (NY comes to mind). In Florida it's not a myth. Salt is one our most basic minerals and most common that is needed for life, without it you will die. It is so important that we evolved with it being one of our 5 major tastes (Bitter, Salt, Sour, Sweet, & Umami). Fortunately our body is very good at extracting it from our common diet so this is rarely a problem today. We use it mainly as a flavoring agent as things just taste better with salt. In prehistoric times we would extract it from water sources that contained a high concentration of salt mainly from the ocean or from salt springs. In warmer climates they would evaporate the water using the sun or by boiling off the water using fire leaving the salt behind.   Last night I was chatting in the comment section when one of our regulars ( Hi Buzz!) suggested a blog posts. At the time I didn't want to do that subject as I have a lot of thoughts on it and didn't feel I had the time to do the subject justice. Then I had a synchronicity moment! This morning driving in the truck the little news blip that broadcasts on the top of the hour came on. At the very end of the broadcast they mentioned that the Oscars were going to allow AI movies to be consider for awards! Once I stopped laughing I mentally took the concept to it's absurdest conclusion: AI written scripts acted out by AI actors with AI scenery with AI stunts and AI action ( or AI romance depending on the genera) to be watched and reviewed by AI critics that will then use AI to write the articles to be published in AI blogs and AI news sites all with an AI driven comment section.   I hope our future AI overloards have a sense of humor and can get a laugh over the absurdity of ...

Last night in the middle of writing a funny little post about stinky sharks I had a short conversation with a regular from the 421st. The gist of the conversation was he had to be careful of talking politics where he lives. While not stating it explicitly I took it as implied that things would get heated if not violent if the wrong things were said. It stuck with me how inherently wrong that this is. Which brings me to Bill Maher. Bill Maher is a comedian with a late night talk show Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO and he has shit in everyone's Wheaties. Bill is a liberal and myself am not his biggest fan of his politics but he can be funny at times. Last month President Trump invited him to dinner at the White House. It was a meeting brokered by Kid Rock who is a mutual friend of the two.   Good Morning and Happy Easter everyone! I had planned on writing something interesting for today but it was a very long day yesterday setting up the blog and then spending time online making sure everything went smoothly on opening day. I did not get much sleep and I have a very big day today. Easter is a major if not the most important day of the year for Christians.   Brothers and Sisters I gather you here today in memory of our dearly departed Dumpster Fire know as The 421 st and pay our respects. The 421st has been a home to many a wayward soul. Some have made it a permanent residence while others have stayed for a short time and moved on. Some have even died and come back to life here. It truly was a magical place! There were many laughs,   more than a few tears, and one or two fights  it was always our home. As the saying goes " when one door closes another one opens " so all hope is not lost. So as our beloved Dumpster Fire sails off to Bloghalla  I ask for you to thank Stan for all his hard work and effort over the years and the poor mods that had to put up with you.
